My Photo

I have been a full-time RVer for 18 years, primarily "boondocking," camping free without hookups, in the Western US. I am connected electronically with the world via satellite TV, phone and internet. My batteries are charged solely by solar panels. I welcome your comments and emails.

More on Mobile Codger Rendezvous

Randy and several of his friends have decided to initiate the world’s first Mobile Codger Rendezvous, a gathering of road-savvy individuals, November 27 to December 3, 2006, at a very appropriate place–the Slabs, America’s only permanent free campground. A flyer has been completed and will be spread electronically and physically. More details, including the flyer, can be found at They envision a convergence of fascinating individuals mingling with their own kind–trading stories and techniques of living on the road.
